The verdict is pretty much in, Vista sucks, and even MS knows it.

Publicly, MS claims great numbers of Vista licences sold. Over 100million in a year!

Only problem is, there were more than 230 Million desktops/laptops sold in that year, so even ignoring the huge numbers of folks who dumped Vista off of their new machine, and put XP or Linux on it, that means that Vista shipped on less than half the PCs shipped. Oops. Not good for the OS that was supposed to take over from XP.

Can't say I care too much, I don't use MS on any of my machines, so the effect on me is minimal, just call it Schadenfreud and leave it at that.
